MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH WITH CUBAN FLAIR

VERO BEACH, Fla., April 22, 2010 – Costa d’Este Beach Resort, the luxury resort owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, will celebrate Mother’s Day – Cuban style. Families can treat mom to a gourmet brunch at the resort’s Cuban-fusion Oriente restaurant for $30 per person.

Since opening in summer 2008, Oriente has become the most popular dining venue in Vero Beach, thanks in part to its flavorful fare, stylish design and exemplary service. For Mother’s Day 2010 the restaurant will feature inventive twists on traditional brunch staples.

“Mother’s Day at Oriente will be something special this year,” stated Chef de Cuisine Raymond Mumford. “Our brunch will have classics like scrambled eggs and waffles, but we will also have specialties with subtle Cuban flavorings to intrigue the palette.”

The Oriente Mother’s Day brunch menu includes Roasted Tomato Bisque with Sazon Croutons and Caesar Salad, followed by four entrees: Papaya-glazed Salmon with Orange Mojo, Cumin-dusted Roasted Prime Rib, scrambled eggs and a waffle station with assorted toppings. Side dishes include Oriente’s signature Palomilla Hash, Green Bean Almandine, bacon and sausage. Last but not least is Chef Mumford’s Cream Cheese and Guava Flan, topped with Dolce de Leche whipped cream.

Oriente features an exhibition kitchen, teak wall panels, woven fabrics and crisp, white linens. A distinctive owners’ roundtable is located in the center and plush banquettes line the walls. The bar is fashioned from honed concrete with hand-wrought ironwork.
