June and July Turtle Walks at Costa!

In support of Coastal Connections, we invite you to take advantage of the 2024 Turtle Walks this June and July, available in Vero Beach! Costa d'Este is pleased to be hosting these on Mondays and Wednesdays!

Coastal Connections, Inc (CCinc) provides opportunities and experiences for you to connect with wildlife and learn how you can be a part of the conservation success story of sea turtles. Nighttime Turtle Walks are guided educational programs designed to immerse you in sea turtle conservation. Loggerhead sea turtles are the most common nesting species found along Florida's coastline and, during June and July, our Turtle Walks will take you out onto a nesting beach to watch a loggerhead sea turtle make her nest and return to the ocean.*

Coastal Connections, Inc.'s 'Turtle Team' has prepared other exciting amenities to allow you to "see" as a turtle sees, conduct a mini lighting survey, and learn more about the importance of a healthy vegetated dune. Your Turtle Walk group will also get a picture of the nesting loggerhead sea turtle that you observed so you can share your memories with others.

Guests ages 8 and up are welcome to reserve their seats beginning May 1st. In compliance with CC, Inc.'s Florida Marine Turtle Permit, Turtle Walk events have a limited capacity, so making reservations is crucial. Turtle Walks are free, but a refundable reservation deposit of $20/person is required to save your seat. Upon check-in at the Turtle Walk, you can request a reimbursement of your deposit.
